Kieri: Earning a sun emblem means an Angel has come of age, and has earned the right to wear an adult's uniform. How we dress is based on our natural elemental affinity.

Cherubs are without gender. Adult Angels can decide for themselves, and change their appearances accordingly. Hair dye is expected.

I decided that I was a girl.

Every Angel also gets a tattoo of their natural element's symbol on their left arm.

Moving to the next rank meant that Kazai and I had to leave the school for Cherubs.

I liked reading books and learning basic Lingo, so I was sad to leave.

At this rank, caretaker Angels begin apprenticeships to learn a trade. They are called Principalities.

Those who manage to earn a star emblem become Dominions.

Few can hope to attain all three emblems to become the highest rank of caretaker Angel: an Authority.

However, as warriors with sun emblems, Kazai and I became Archangels.

We inherited weapons from our family that we were expected to keep with us at all times.

Kieri: [writing in Lingo] Then, our life of endless combat training began...

Slightly Damned is on Summer Vacation until September!

With page 1191 of Slightly Damned, Book Six has concluded!

I am taking a break to work on things besides Slightly Damned pages for a few months. I am eager to continue the story, but other things need my attention. I love making Slightly Damned pages, but they are so labor intensive and time consuming! I will still be working on Slightly Damned related things, just not "main story" pages. And I really need to start planning for the next Kickstarter. Wish me luck!

In the meantime, the patron suggestion box is back in the summer! I want to doodle quick, easy things based on patron suggestions while I'm not working on pages. For more information, check out the relevant posts:

They will be selling stickers, t-shirts, enamel pins, and Slightly Damned books.

As of right now I'm not planning on applying to or attending any other shows in 2026 besides these. I want to spend less time worrying about travel and more time working at home for a while... as long as I can afford it.
