Prologue 1/2
Posted March 11, 2004 at 10:00 pm

Everything began with the three gods:
Gaia, Syndel, and Death.

Gaia created Heaven and its Angels.
Syndel created Hell and its Demons.
Death created Purgatory and saw potential.

Encouraged and supervised by Death,
Gaia and Syndel cooperated to create the land of Medius
and all the creatures that would live there.

Despite their equal efforts, "Mother" Gaia was loved
while "Father" Syndel was shunned by the Medians.
Enraged by this slight, Syndel sparked a war that
engulfed every realm.

This became known as The Great War.

It is said that the forced of good eventually won,
and that the conflict ended centuries ago.

Hi, everyone! I have some news I'd like to share!

You can now subscribe to me on Ko-Fi for the same benefits as Patreon!

Due to Patreon recently announcing that they were going to force certain updates on its userbase, I decided it would be a good idea to mirror my exclusive digital content to Ko-Fi. Now you can choose between platforms because they both have the same perks: behind-the-scenes goodies, high res image, advanced comic pages, online store discount, vote in polls-- the works!

If you already support me on Patreon--thanks!-- and you don't wish to change, you don't have to. But I invite you to compare the prices of the fees each platform charges, because I want the best deal for all of us!

I couldn't do what I do without everyone's support. Thank you so much!

I am looking for fan translators to volunteer to translate Slightly Damned into other languages!

Due to my contract with Hiveworks, only translations hosted on sdamned.com are allowed. I am finally ready to do this for fan translations! I apologize that it's taken me this long to get the ball rolling on this one.

I've started uploading Slightly Damned in Czech thanks to the efforts of a volunteer: https://www.sdamned.com/czech/

Basic image editing skills are required. However, I will provide the blank comics with their words erased, so all you have to do is fill them in. For more information, please email me at chu@raizap.com!

The Slightly Damned website is also being updated to support tags and transcripts. I may need some help transcribing the massive 1,000+ page archive...

Lastly, I'm going to be a dealer at Another Furry Con in Ontario, California! I was fortunate enough to get off the waitlist and I'm excited to see how this new convention's first year goes.

That's all for now! Stay cool out there!
Chu

Hi, Chu here!

I am happy to announce that the Jakkai info page on the Slightly Damned website has been thoroughly revised and updated!

Check it out here: https://www.sdamned.com/jakkai

This is the first part of my ongoing project to completely redo the World History, Cast (of characters), and Races pages of Slightly Damned. I polled my patrons for where to start, and they voted to prioritize the Races page.

I don't know how long it will take to update everything, but I will persevere. I don't like that the main Slightly Damned website has been littered with crusty placeholders for two decades. I hope that my endeavors will help make it a lot easier for people to make fan content, which I welcome with open arms!

Page updates will resume by Saturday, August 3! I am sorry to leave you hanging for a few weeks. Around the time I started feeling burnt out from drawing, a friend from out of town came to visit and we had many fun adventures. One of those adventures involved being a vendor at Anthro Weekend Utah, and I had a blast! Everyone was very good to me at the con, from the staff, to my fellow vendors, to fans, and everyone else. Now I feel rested and ready to get back to work.

Thanks for being patient!
